Kenia's clinical approach
Kenia works with adults, adolescents and children, combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with solution-focused brief therapy. In practice this means she does not stop at the origin of the problem: together with each person she also identifies what is already working in their life and the resources they have, to build concrete changes in less time. Within that framework she works on emotional regulation, behavior management and strengthening social skills.
Her hallmark is a close therapeutic relationship and active listening: she designs each intervention around the developmental stage of the person, because an adult, a teenager and a child are not supported in the same way. In her 3 years of clinical practice she has carried out assessment and intervention at each of those stages.
Like the rest of the team, she also supports families throughout the process, understanding that the close environment is part of the treatment and not a bystander to it.
