Purpose and acceptance of the Terms
This document sets out the conditions under which you access the website, view its content, use the contact form, communicate through the available channels and book psychological care sessions. Access to the website and reading its content are free of charge; the professional services are paid services, subject to the fees in force at any given time.
By browsing the website, submitting the contact form, writing to us via messaging or requesting an appointment, you declare that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms in their entirety, as well as the policies to which they refer. If you do not agree with any of these conditions, we ask that you refrain from using the website and from engaging the services.
These Terms may be updated in the circumstances provided for below; the applicable version is always the one published on this page at the time of use.
Nature of the service
The service consists of professional psychological care (guidance, assessment and treatment) provided in person in Santa Cruz de la Sierra or online, by professionals licensed to practice psychology in Bolivia, including:
- Junisse Montaño Peña, College of Psychologists No. JMP-1004-25, Colegio de Psicólogos de Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz College of Psychologists).
- Jazmín Villazón, Professional License V-6830627, Ministry of Health and Sports of Bolivia.
- Yusina Barba, College of Psychologists No. YBO-1037-25, Colegio de Psicólogos de Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz College of Psychologists); Professional license B-8962179, Ministry of Health and Sports of Bolivia; SEDES license P25-0367, Santa Cruz Departmental Health Service (SEDES).
Psychological care always takes place within a session, in the context of a professional relationship, and is governed by the ethical and legal duties of psychology. Engaging the service does not guarantee a particular clinical outcome: therapy is a process of support whose course depends on multiple factors, including the participation of the person receiving care.
The website and the blog are for information only
The website and the blog are for information and educational purposes only. The articles, guides and answers we publish describe mental health topics in general terms and do not constitute a diagnosis, treatment or clinical advice directed to your particular situation.
Reading the content of the website does not create a therapeutic relationship and does not replace a professional consultation. Every person is different: real clinical guidance can only be offered within a session, after getting to know your history and your context. If something you read raises questions about your own case, the appropriate step is to book a session.
The information published is offered in good faith and we strive to keep it up to date, but it may contain inaccuracies, become outdated or not apply to your specific circumstances. The decisions you make based on that content are your sole responsibility.
Who may engage the services
To book and engage the services, you must be of legal age and have the legal capacity to enter into binding obligations under Bolivian law. By requesting an appointment, you declare that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is truthful and belongs to you.
Psychological care for children and adolescents is always coordinated and carried out with the consent and participation of their mother, father or legal guardian, who manages the booking on their behalf, provides the necessary administrative data and authorizes the care.
Booking and confirmation of appointments
Appointments are requested through the website’s booking system or by writing to us via WhatsApp. A booking request is confirmed only when it is ratified via WhatsApp at +591 77998340. Until you receive that confirmation, the time slot is not considered reserved and may be assigned to another person.
We ask that you provide correct and up-to-date contact details when requesting the appointment, as we use them to confirm the booking, send you reminders and maintain the administrative communication related to your care.
Cancellations and rescheduling
We understand that unforeseen events can arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, we ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance. That notice allows us to offer the time slot to another person who is waiting for it and helps us maintain an orderly schedule for the benefit of everyone in our care.
Late cancellations and repeated no-shows without notice may affect the availability of future bookings. Where applicable, the specific rescheduling conditions will be communicated to you when the appointment is confirmed.
Punctuality and missed appointments
Each session has a scheduled length and time. If you arrive late, the session still ends at the scheduled time, so as not to affect the person who has the next appointment; the time not used because of the delay is neither carried over nor deducted.
Failure to attend a confirmed appointment without prior notice within the stated period is considered a missed session and may be subject to the conditions communicated to you when booking.
Fees and payments
Session and package fees are expressed in bolivianos (Bs) and are communicated before the booking is confirmed. Payment is made as agreed when scheduling the appointment and by the means indicated to you.
Fees may be updated over time. Any change applies to new bookings and does not alter the price of a package that you have already purchased and paid for. When a service is purchased as a package of several sessions, the conditions of use and validity of the package are communicated to you at the time of purchase. If at any time you have questions about the cost of a service, we suggest that you ask us before booking.
Care formats: in person and online
Care may be provided in person, at the practice’s address indicated above, or online, by video call, as agreed when booking. Both formats are subject to the same professional and confidentiality duties.
Online care requires you to have a stable internet connection, a suitable device and a private space that safeguards the confidentiality of the session. The practice is not responsible for technical failures beyond its control (such as the quality of the user’s connection or interruptions of third-party services) that prevent or hinder an online session; when this occurs, we will endeavor to resume the session or reschedule it by mutual agreement.
Obligations of the user
By using the website and engaging the services, you agree to:
- Provide truthful, complete and up-to-date information in the contact form and when booking, especially your contact details.
- Use the website lawfully and respectfully, without affecting its operation, its security or the rights of other people.
- Refrain from sending, through the website’s channels, content that is offensive, fraudulent or that infringes the rights of third parties.
- Comply with the booking, cancellation and payment conditions described in these Terms.
Intellectual property
The texts, the blog articles, the guides, the photographs, the illustrations, the logo, the distinctive signs and the design of the website are the property of PSICOAURA S.R.L. and of Junisse Montaño, or are used with the authorization of their owners, and are protected by the applicable intellectual property laws.
You may read the content and share links to it for personal, non-commercial use. It is not permitted to reproduce, copy, distribute, modify or reuse the content for commercial purposes without prior written authorization. If you wish to quote or reproduce an article, we ask that you contact us and we will gladly discuss it.
Third-party links and services
For the website and appointment management to work, we rely on providers that process data on our behalf, each with a limited function (among others, an appointment booking and contact management platform, a cloud hosting provider, an email notification service and analytics tools), as well as on communication via WhatsApp and on Google services. Each of these providers is governed by its own terms and policies, over which we have no control.
The website may also contain links to external pages, such as our business profile or our social media. We are not responsible for the content, practices or policies of those third-party sites, which are governed by their own terms. The details of the providers that process data can be found in our Privacy Policy.
Website availability and limitation of liability
We strive to keep the website continuously available and its information correct and up to date, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The website may experience interruptions due to maintenance, updates or causes beyond our control, including the temporary unavailability of the third-party tools we use for bookings, email or messaging.
To the extent permitted by law, PSICOAURA S.R.L. is not liable for damages that may arise from technical interruptions of the website, from the unavailability of those third-party tools, or from the use of the informational content as a substitute for a professional consultation.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes the obligations and the professional liability that Bolivian law and the codes of ethics of psychology impose on the professionals with respect to the clinical care actually provided in session.
Privacy and confidentiality
Caring for your information is a central part of how we work. We handle two categories with different criteria: the administrative data that you provide to arrange your care, and the clinical information that arises within a session, protected by professional secrecy and kept strictly separate from everything else.
The details of how we collect, use and protect your information, and of how you can exercise your rights, are described in our Privacy Policy. The scope and limits of professional secrecy are explained in our Confidentiality and Professional Secrecy Policy.
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms when our services, the tools we use or the applicable regulations change. The current version is always the one published on this page, with its “last updated” date.
Using the website or booking an appointment after a change has been published implies acceptance of the updated Terms. We suggest that you review this page periodically.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. For any dispute arising from the use of the website or the engagement of the services, the parties submit to the competent courts of the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, without prejudice to first seeking a good-faith solution through the contact channels indicated below.
