Privacy Policy
How we handle and protect your personal information on this website and through the channels of psychologist Junisse Montaño’s practice.
Last updated: September 2026
This page is an English translation provided for your convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
At PSICOAURA S.R.L., the company that operates the website junissemontano.com and the psychological care services of psychologist Junisse Montaño, we understand that trust is the foundation of our work. That trust begins with being clear with you about what information we receive, for what purpose we use it, how long we keep it and how you can control it at all times.
The practice works with two kinds of information that are kept strictly separate. On the one hand, there are the administrative data that you provide to arrange an appointment or make an inquiry (for example, your name and your phone number). On the other hand, there is the clinical information that arises within a therapy session, which is protected by professional secrecy and is never recorded in or transmitted through the tools of this website. This policy refers mainly to administrative and browsing data; the handling of clinical information is described in our Confidentiality and Professional Secrecy Policy.
We ask that you read this document carefully. If any part of it is unclear to you, you may write to us through the channels listed at the end and we will gladly explain it.

Scope of this policy
This policy applies to people who visit www.junissemontano.com, complete the contact form, book an appointment online or communicate with the practice through the available channels. It does not apply to third-party websites linked from this site, which are governed by their own policies, nor to the clinical information generated in the course of psychological care, which is governed by professional secrecy.
What information we collect
We seek to collect only what is necessary to assist you. Depending on the channel you use, we may process the following categories of data:
- Identification and contact data. Your name and your phone number, and your email address when you choose to provide it.
- Content of your inquiry. The message you send us via WhatsApp or email, in the terms in which you write it. The website form does not include any message field: it only asks for your name and your phone number so that we can reply to you. We recommend that you do not include sensitive clinical information through these channels.
- Booking data. When you book an appointment online, the information needed to manage it, such as the service chosen and the time slot requested.
- Browsing and technical data. Information that your browser transmits automatically (such as the type of device or the pages visited), which we use in aggregate form to understand how the website is used.
We do not request card details or financial information through this website, and we do not collect special categories of data by automated means.
For what purposes we use your information
We process your data for specific and legitimate purposes, in particular:
- To arrange, confirm and manage the appointments you request.
- To respond to your inquiries and maintain administrative communication with you.
- To send you reminders and information related to your care.
- To operate, maintain and improve the website and the quality of our services.
- To comply with the legal, accounting and tax obligations applicable to the activity of the practice.
We do not use your data to sell them to third parties or to send you advertising for products unrelated to the practice.
Legal basis for processing
In Bolivia, the protection of personal data is grounded in the Constitución Política del Estado (the Political Constitution of the State), which recognizes the right to privacy and to intimacy (Article 21) and provides for the Acción de Protección de Privacidad (Privacy Protection Action), or habeas data (Article 130), through which every person may learn of, object to, rectify and request the deletion of their data. Within that framework, we process your information on the following grounds:
- Your consent, which you give when you contact us voluntarily, complete a form or start a conversation.
- The professional relationship, when the processing is necessary to provide you with the psychological care service you request.
- Compliance with legal obligations applicable to the practice.
You may withdraw your consent at any time, as explained below.
Communication via WhatsApp
To arrange appointments and maintain administrative communication, we use WhatsApp Business, a service operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. When you write to us through this channel or provide us with your number, we may process your phone number, your profile name, the messages exchanged and the date and time of the conversations.
- Purpose. Arranging and confirming appointments, reminders and administrative inquiries. Therapy sessions are not conducted via WhatsApp.
- Retention. Messages are kept during the period of active care and for a reasonable period afterward, in accordance with the applicable obligations.
- How to stop receiving messages. You may request this at any time by replying “BAJA” (Spanish for “unsubscribe”) to any message or by contacting us.
Meta’s processing of the information is also governed by its own policy: whatsapp.com/legal/business-policy.
Providers that provide services to us
For the website and appointment management to work, we rely on providers that process data on our behalf and following our instructions, each with a limited function. Due to the nature of cloud services, some of them may store or process information on servers located outside Bolivia. In all cases, we require them to apply adequate security measures and to use the data only for the purposes we entrust to them. We use, among others:
- A specialized platform for appointment booking and contact management.
- A provider of secure cloud hosting and infrastructure.
- Our professional email (Google Workspace), through which we receive the alert for each new inquiry.
- Technical abuse-prevention measures to protect the forms.
Google services and Business Profile
We use Google services for the operation and promotion of the website, such as usage statistics, the location map and search tools. Likewise, when the practitioner links her own Google Business Profile, the website accesses information about the business itself (reviews, performance metrics and listing information, such as opening hours) in order to display and manage it. This is information about the practice, not about the people who visit the website, and the access credentials for that account are stored encrypted.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Clinical confidentiality and professional secrecy
Everything you share within a session is protected by professional secrecy, an ethical and legal duty of psychology. That clinical information is not stored in the tools of this website, is kept separate from administrative data and is not provided to the providers mentioned in this policy. Secrecy yields only in exceptional and duly justified circumstances (your express consent; a serious and imminent risk to the life or safety of the person or of third parties; a court order; or the protection of children and adolescents or of people in vulnerable situations), and these limits are explained to you at the start of care.
You can find the details in our Confidentiality and Professional Secrecy Policy.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file that is stored on your device when you visit a website. We use few of them, and none for advertising purposes. Specifically:
- Strictly necessary cookies. They enable the basic operation of the website; one of them is used solely for access to the internal administration area and does not affect people browsing the public website.
- Analytics cookies. They help us understand, in an aggregated and non-identifiable way, how the website is used so that we can improve it; they include the Google Analytics measurement cookies.
You can accept, block or delete cookies from your browser settings. If you block them, the website will continue to work in its essential functions, although some measurements will no longer be recorded.
How long we keep your information
We keep your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which they were collected and, thereafter, for the periods required by the applicable legal obligations. As a general rule, contact and appointment coordination data are kept for as long as our relationship with you lasts and for a reasonable period afterward; once that period has elapsed, they are securely deleted or anonymized.
Specifically, the data you leave in the website form (your name and your phone number) are kept for a maximum of 90 days from the time you submit them, and are then deleted automatically. This includes the email alert with those same details that reaches the practice's inbox, which we also delete within the same period. To reply to you faster, we may also save your name and phone number as a contact on the practice's phone: if you start therapy, that contact becomes part of your patient record, under the same duty of confidentiality; if you do not, we delete it within the same 90-day period. That period does not depend on anything: it applies whether or not we replied to you, and you do not need to request anything. If your inquiry leads to care, the information needed to assist you is managed in the corresponding clinical system, under the general rule of the previous paragraph, and not in the website form.
Information security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorized access or misuse: access control for the administration area, encryption of sensitive credentials, sanitization of the data received through the forms and selection of providers that offer security guarantees. No system is infallible, but we work to maintain a level of protection commensurate with the sensitivity of the information we handle.
Transfers outside Bolivia
Some of the providers that provide services to us operate from other countries, so your information may be processed on servers located outside Bolivia. When this occurs, we seek to ensure that those providers offer adequate guarantees of security and confidentiality and that they process the data exclusively for the purposes we entrust to them.
Minors
The care of children and adolescents is always coordinated with their mother, father or legal guardian, who provides the necessary administrative data and authorizes the care. We do not knowingly collect data from minors through the website without the involvement of the responsible adult.
Your rights
In accordance with the Constitución Política del Estado and the Acción de Protección de Privacidad (habeas data), you have the right to:
- Know which of your data we process and request access to them.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request the deletion of your data, except where they must be retained due to a legal obligation.
- Object to certain processing, such as statistical analysis.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without retroactive effect.
How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of these rights (including the deletion of your data), you may contact us via WhatsApp at +591 77998340, by email at privacidad@junissemontano.com or through the contact form. We may ask you to confirm your identity before handling the request, in order to protect your own information. We will respond within a maximum of fifteen (15) business days from the receipt of your request.
Automated decisions
We do not make decisions that produce legal effects concerning you based solely on the automated processing of your data. The management of your care always involves the judgment of a professional.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect improvements in our services or regulatory changes. When we do so, we will publish the current version on this same page and change the “last updated” date. We suggest that you review it periodically.
