Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to the digital accessibility of the website junissemontano.com, the scope of this statement, the limitations we are aware of and how to report a barrier to us.
Last updated: September 2026
This page is an English translation provided for your convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
At PSICOAURA S.R.L., the company that operates the website junissemontano.com and the psychological care services of psychologist Junisse Montaño, we understand that asking for psychological help is already hard and that the website should not make it any harder. That is why we work so that anyone (including people who use screen readers, navigate using only the keyboard, enlarge the text or reduce motion on the screen) can learn about the practice and book a session without obstacles.
For us, accessibility is not a requirement that is met once and filed away, but an ongoing practice that we review with every relevant change to the website. This statement explains the standard we have adopted, how far it extends, which accessibility features are already active, which limitations we honestly acknowledge and how you can let us know when something does not work as it should.
Our commitment
We are committed to offering a website that can be used by as many people as possible, regardless of their abilities, the assistive technology they use or the conditions in which they browse. We take as our reference the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and internationally recognized as the reference standard for digital accessibility.
Level AA is the degree of conformance considered appropriate for general-purpose and service websites. We aim to meet its criteria across the entire public website and to maintain that level on an ongoing basis; when we detect a point that does not reach it, we document it and add it to our improvement plan.
Scope of this statement
This statement covers the public pages of www.junissemontano.com: the home page, services, specialties, team, interviews, blog, frequently asked questions, appointment booking, location, contact and the legal pages.
The following elements are, by their nature, outside this scope:
- The internal administration panel (
/adminand its subroutes), which has no public access and is used only by the practice’s team. - Third-party sites and services linked from this website, which are governed by their own accessibility policies and standards.
- Content hosted or served by external platforms, insofar as its behavior depends on the provider and not on our code.
Reference standard and evaluation method
We evaluate the accessibility of the website by combining manual review and supporting tools. Specifically:
- Keyboard testing. We verify that essential functions can be operated without a mouse, with a logical focus order and a visible focus indicator.
- Screen readers. We check how the structure, headings, links and alternative text are read with assistive technology.
- Contrast and typography. We measure contrast ratios and the legibility of text against the level AA thresholds.
- Review with every relevant change. Before publishing significant changes, we go over the guidelines that could be affected.
No evaluation guarantees the complete absence of barriers; that is why the reporting channel described below is an integral part of our method.
Active accessibility features
As of the date of this statement, the website includes, among others, the following accessibility features:
- Semantic structure with landmark regions (
nav, mainandfooter) that make orientation easier with assistive technology. - A “Skip to main content” link so that people who use a keyboard or a screen reader can bypass repeated navigation.
- A single
h1heading per page and a sequential, consistent heading hierarchy. - Descriptive alternative text on informative images.
- Color contrast that meets level AA (4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text).
- Respect for the
prefers-reduced-motionpreference in decorative animations, which are toned down or disabled for those who have set it. - A visible focus indicator on all interactive elements.
- A language declaration on the document (
lang="es-BO"on the Spanish pages andlang="en"on the English pages), so that screen readers pronounce the content correctly. - Responsive design that allows the text to be enlarged and the content to be reorganized without loss of functionality on small screens.
Known limitations
We prefer to be honest: there are points that do not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA and that we are still working on. We acknowledge them openly so that you know what to expect and so that, if any of them affects you, we can offer you an alternative.
- Social media logos. The social media icons use each platform’s brand colors, whose contrast does not always reach level AA; as logos, they are exempt under the note to WCAG criterion 1.4.11. By contrast, action buttons such as “Book on WhatsApp” use the brand coral with white text, a combination that does meet AA.
- Blog content. Articles are published from the website itself, with no external platforms; the review of the accessibility guidelines for each post is done manually, so there may be a brief lag just after a new post is published, until we finish fine-tuning it.
- Third-party components. Online appointment booking and the location map rely on external services; their accessibility depends in part on those providers and is beyond our direct control. If any of those steps is difficult for you, write to us and we will arrange the session via WhatsApp or email.
- Documents and downloadable materials. Some materials in external formats may not be fully optimized for assistive technology; we can provide their content through an alternative channel upon request.
How to report a barrier
If you come across an accessibility barrier or have a suggestion for improvement, we ask that you tell us. Each report helps us fix the problem and guides our next improvements. When you write to us, it will be helpful to tell us the page or address where it happened, a brief description of the difficulty and, if you know it, the browser or assistive technology you were using. You can contact us through any of these channels:
- +591 77998340
- Form
- Contact form
- Address
- Calle Pari, Edificio Don Alcides, Piso 1, Oficina N.º 211, Santa Cruz de la Sierra
We aim to acknowledge receipt and respond within seven (7) business days, and to fix critical barriers within a reasonable time depending on their technical complexity. When a definitive solution requires more time, we will seek to offer you an accessible alternative so that you can complete what you needed.
Continuous improvement and next review
We regard accessibility as permanent work, not a fixed state. We review the website with every significant change, incorporate what we learn from the reports we receive and update this statement when appropriate. We have scheduled the next general accessibility review for December 2026; if this date changes, we will reflect it on this same page along with the date of the last update.
We also review this statement when we introduce new features, when we update relevant third-party components or when a user points out a barrier that warrants changing what is described here.
